Scheduling a Delivery:

A Tislot Appointment is required for all material deliveries to Outokumpu Stainless USA. A tislot request may be obtained via receiving.sl-usa@outokumpu.com or by calling 251.829.3413 or 251.829.3544. Please do not contact the Buyer associated with your Purchase Order as they cannot assign Tislot appointments.

The following information is needed to schedule a Tislot Appointment:

  • Carrier Name
  • Anticipated date and arrival time. Please note that late arrivals (1 hour after tislot) will be offloaded according to business needs.
  • Purchase Order or Shipment Order number. If you need assistance in locating this information, please contact the shipper.

Unscheduled arrivals will be offloaded in accordance with business needs.

Please note that Outokumpu Stainless does not have a loading dock. Carriers should communicate unloading concerns at time of tislot request.

After Hour Deliveries

Deliveries made after delivery hours will only be accepted if prior arrangements have been made. Deliveries accepted after hours are for "hot" items only. Please proceed to the Paul Bayou Gate and security will make contact with the recipient for escort into the mill.

PPE Requirements:

The following Personal Protective Equipment is needed for delivery access to the mill:

  • Hard Hat
  • Safety Glasses
  • High Visibility Vest
  • Steel Toed Boots
  • Hearing Protection

Directions to Outokumpu Stainless USA, LLC:

Traveling north on HWY 43

  • Travel past the town of Mt. Vernon about 6 mi.
  • Directly after mile marker 32, turn right onto Paul Bayou Rd.
  • Travel 1.6 miles to our entrance on the right

Traveling south on HWY 43

  • Travel past the town of McIntosh for roughly 7 mi.
  • There will be a sign which reads, "Paul Bayou Next Left"
  • Travel 1.6 miles on Paul Bayou Rd. to our entrance on the right

**Paul Bayou Road entrance is for non-bulk deliveries only that do not require a weigh-in. All Bulk deliveries must enter through the Main Gate (ThyssenKrupp Steel) for weighing purposes**

Directions to Thyssenkrupp Steel:

Traveling north on HWY 43

  • Take I-65 to exit 19
  • Head north on Hwy 43 toward Creola
  • Stay north on Hwy 43 through the town of Mt. Vernon.
  • Approximately 3 miles north of Mt. Vernon, you will see the main entrance on your right.
  • Veer right onto the onramp and proceed to security.
  • Drivers must weigh in and out of the Main Gate to complete bulk deliveries

Traveling south on HWY 43

  • Travel past the town of McIntosh for roughly 10 mi
  • There will be a sign which reads, "ThyssenKrupp Drive"
  • Veer right onto the onramp and proceed to security.
  • Drivers must weigh in and out of the Main Gate to complete bulk deliveries


To visit the Erich Heine/Alabama Industrial Development Training Center:

Enter through the main entrance and take your first right onto 4th street and the next right onto 3rd avenue.


Visitors:

You must be pre-cleared through security to visit Outokumpu Stainless USA. Please contact your host to ensure clearance before arrival and enter via Paul Bayou Road.
